Rebecca was employed part-time whilst she studied for her Bachelor of Law with the University of London, through the Jersey Institute of Law. Having obtained her degree, she became a full-time paralegal in September 2019.
Rebecca has gained experience working on a wide range of cases including trust disputes, shareholder actions and tenancy actions. Rebecca is also an integral part of the criminal defence team and has assisted in high profile historic abuse cases including AG v Quenault and AG v Le Marquand in which the defendants were both acquitted. More recently Rebecca was involved in the successful defence of Michelle Yuksel following a three-week fraud trial and is currently working on the case of AG v Nisbet, an allegation of murder with trial dates fixed for later in the year.
Rebecca will start the process of qualifying as an Advocate of the Royal Court in Autumn 2020.
Rebecca speaks English and has a basic knowledge of French.
Rebecca is a keen horse rider and competes in show jumping competitions both on Island and in the UK. Rebecca also enjoys cycling and loves to ski.
